Dr. Joseph Cardenas is a board certified cardiologist with expertise in advanced, state-of-the-art technologies and procedures. Dr. Cardenas specializes in heart and vascular disease. He holds board certifications by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Cardenas completed his fellowship in peripheral, vascular, and coronary intervention from the Arizona Heart Institute and Research Foundation. He completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease, as well as his internal medicine residency training from La Jolla, California at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation. Dr. Cardenas, the founder of Yuma Cardiology Associates, is nationally and internationally known for his contribution to the field of peripheral vascular disease.
