Known simply to her patients as “Deb,” Deborah Shubick has worked in nursing since 2006 with an extensive background in trauma and critical care. She received her master’s degree from The Ohio State University, where she was the recipient of the Marlo Sandow Wurster Scholarship for compassionate care in nursing. Now, Deb is pursuing her Doctor of Health Sciences degree.
Originally from Ohio, Deb relocated to Yuma from Morehead City, NC, with her husband in 2019. Deb enjoys traveling, live sports and music events, and spending time with her husband, two dogs and three cats. She gives back to the community by fostering animals for the local humane society in her free time. When the coronavirus pandemic arrived in Yuma, Deb started volunteering with Shopping Angels. This agency provides free shopping trips for people most vulnerable to COVID-19.
She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Deb also holds certifications in hospice and palliative care as well as critical care.
