Education & Professional Highlights

Cherice Curtis began her nursing career in 1995, when she graduated from Arizona Western College with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. She completed her Bachelor’s in Nursing at Northern Arizona University in 2003, followed by her Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2006. She obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner Post Master’s Certificate from Grand Canyon University in 2015, graduating with honors.

Cherice joined the YRMC family in 1993. During her time at YRMC she has worked on the medical surgical unit, adult cardiac unit, pediatrics, NICU and as a certified diabetes educator. She furthered her education to become a nurse practitioner to better serve the Yuma community. Cherice believes in treating all patients in an ethical and nurturing way, showing compassion and respect for their individual healthcare needs.

Outside of work, Cherice enjoys spending time with her family outdoors.
